Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic style that links breath to movement in a continuous flowing sequence. It’s more physically demanding, building strength, flexibility, and endurance, while the breath-movement connection creates a kind of moving meditation.
Hatha Yoga is a slower-paced style where postures are held for several breaths, giving practitioners time to focus on alignment, breath, and body awareness. It’s an accessible entry point for beginners, while also offering a grounded, meditative practice for those with more experience.
New to yoga and feeling a little hesitant to start? No worries! Every class is designed so that complete beginners feel comfortable and can truly enjoy the experience. For more experienced yogis, there’s always room to go deeper – with deeper stretches, more inner fire, and more experimental poses.
About the lessons
A little bit of Philosophy: 8 Limbs of Yoga
The eight limbs of yoga originate from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, an ancient Indian text (compiled around 400 CE) that systematized the philosophy and practice of yoga into 196 concise aphorisms. In this text, Patanjali outlines “Ashtanga” — literally “eight limbs” — as a step-by-step path toward liberation (samadhi). It begins with ethical guidelines for how we treat others (yama) and ourselves (niyama), moves through the physical and energetic body (asana, pranayama), turns inward through sense withdrawal and focus (pratyahara, dharana), and culminates in meditation and union (dhyana, samadhi). Far from being just a system of exercises, this framework reflects yoga’s roots as a holistic spiritual discipline — one where the physical practice we know today is only a small part of a much larger path.
About me
My name is Cora – welcome to my journey through the world of yoga, which I’d love to share with you here. Yoga has carried me from the mat into where I am today – and now I get to share this practice with others. My Yoga Teacher Training showed me just how powerful the connection between breath, movement, the power of mind and stillness can be. With additional training in Children’s Yoga (30 h, mindfulness focus), I’m especially passionate about giving even the youngest students a playful way into inner calm and body awareness. I’m currently deepening my knowledge through the OYCP Hormone Yoga training, to support women and men in better understanding and balancing their body and cycle.
To me, yoga is so much more than asanas – it’s a path toward greater mindfulness, self-connection, and everyday calm. That’s exactly what I hope to pass on in my classes.
